Gravit Dust - the novelty at Hase Bikes

For a long time, there was no bike that could transport sports equipment or general luggage without any problems and was also built for riding on gravel tracks and uneven paths. But in June 2023, the recumbent bike manufacturer Hase Bikes presented a bike that combines the cargo bike and the gravel bike.

Paulo Mesquita, an employee at Hase Bikes, emphasised that this would be the perfect mix. It is therefore not only a portable cargo bike, but also a gravel bike on which you can transport the luggage you need. The bike is also particularly appealing to buyers and prospective buyers who also want to be sporty when travelling.

Paulo Mesquita himself is a product designer at the German recumbent manufacturer and has already helped with the design and processing of many bikes, but he had more of a hand in this one than usual: "I wanted to be a bit wilder on the road. And my wife wanted a smaller, more agile cargo bike that could also be taken on holiday. So I started experimenting," says the Hase Bike employee.

The result is a bike that can be used for off-road trips and tours where you want to push yourself to the limit, as well as a more relaxed tour with a lot of luggage in tow. The bike is generally very light and manoeuvrable. Although the Gravit Dust only weighs 20 kilograms, it can carry a load of up to 200 kilograms.
